Let’s just say that Port Louis is the melting pot of international cuisine. Such is the blend of restaurants…the China Town of Port Louis abounds with Chinese restaurants, several indian restaurant are scattered here and there but are in general not so cheap, and well let’s call the style mauritian as the Ravinale. It would be unfair not to mention the alouda (nice cold drink in hot Port Louis) and the fast foods there…as for the Caudan, you will just not know where to go there’s so many

In Port Louis there’s lots of little restaurants where you can find good food and value for money. At La Rue St Geoges there’s Lynn Snack…the place to go for Mine Bouit, Kiow, Boulettes, etc… And furhter down the road there’s Lambic which serves nice pub food. And there’s Pizza Paradis where you can buy pizza by slice…with a mauritian taste. At La Rue d’Entrecasteaux there’s Mike Snack where everyday you find different menus from chinese, indian to creole. At La Rue Mere Barthelemy there’s Restaurant Aline where you will get ourite safran and many other nice foods. Jim Snack at La Rue Bourbon or in Port Louis Market you get nice boulettes. At La Rue La Corderie there’s Charlie Restaurant…lots of menu of the day and chinese foods and opposite it you will find First Restaurant for chinese cuisine. In Caudan 2, Le Patio is very good and impressive with salads.
