Branding of Mauritius – Analysis of the contents of the Brand Book Positioning Mauritius in the world


Instead of  sitting back and criticizing, the Mauritians should be objective and get to know the contents of the brandbook available on the website of Ministry of Tourism. One of the key ideas at the outset is the pride we should draw of being Mauritians. It is sad to note that Mauritians when they are abroad speak ill of their own country. It is even worse when it comes to those having taken advantage of scholarships of the Mauritian Government and keep on criticizing their own country, a very anti patriotic act…well moreso they don’t even intend to come to bring new ideas to their country while they have signed a bond with their mother land…enfin ki pou fer sakene so upbringing…a shame…

Well getting back to the meat of the subject the brand book gives a broad picture of our brand values: Empathy, connectedness, team spirit, resourcefulness, acceptance, harmony and reverence.

The brand values are dixit the book the beliefs and aspirations that are consistently demonstrated in the behaviour and attitude of Mauritians.
